Controlla la misura prima di tagliare.
Feminine. Prendere le misure is to take measurements; in shops it also means size, though for clothes la taglia is more common.
il metrothe metre / tape measure
Prendi il metro e misura la parete.
Masculine, plural i metri. It means both the unit and the tape measure. Un metro e quaranta is 1.40 m: Italians say measurements with e between metres and centimetres.
ripetereto repeat
Scusi, può ripetere? Non ho capito bene.
A regular -ere verb. Può ripetere, per favore? is the most useful question on any job; no one minds being asked.
rifareto redo / do again
Abbiamo sbagliato, dobbiamo rifare il muro.
Conjugated like fare: rifaccio, ho rifatto. The prefix ri- means again on many verbs: richiamare, rileggere, rimettere.
la consegnathe delivery
La consegna dei mattoni arriva domani mattina.
Feminine, from consegnare, to deliver or hand over. It can also mean an instruction or task you are given: le consegne del capo.
il fornitorethe supplier
Ho chiamato il fornitore: cambiano il materiale domani.
Masculine; a woman is la fornitrice. From fornire, to supply. Utilities companies are also called fornitori: il fornitore della luce.
