Italian present tense: regular -are, -ere and -ire verbs
Present tense of regular -are, -ere and -ire verbs: parlo, scrivi, dorme...
In Italian: Presente indicativo: verbi regolari
Three families, three sets of endings. Parlare → parlo, parli, parla, parliamo, parlate, parlano. Scrivere → scrivo, scrivi, scrive, scriviamo, scrivete, scrivono. Dormire → dormo, dormi, dorme, dormiamo, dormite, dormono.
Italian usually leaves out the subject pronoun, because the ending already says who is speaking: parlo on its own means I speak.
A large group of -ire verbs inserts -isc- in the singular and third person plural: capisco, capisci, capisce, capiamo, capite, capiscono.
Io ___ italiano ogni giorno. (parlare)
